How do I start streaming?+
Create a free account, copy your Mux stream key from Settings or the Studio page, paste it into OBS (or any RTMP encoder) with our server URL rtmps://global-live.mux.com:443/app, and click Go Live in your studio. Your stream is live within seconds.
What plans are available?+
We offer 5 plans: Free (₦0, 50 viewers, 30 min), Starter (₦29,900/mo, 500 viewers), Pro (₦59,900/mo, 2,500 viewers + PPV + Church OS), Business (₦99,900/mo, 10,000 viewers), and Enterprise (custom pricing, unlimited viewers).
How does giving and tithing work?+
On Starter, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, you can enable a giving overlay on any stream. Viewers pay with cards or bank transfer via Paystack. The amount is split automatically: your share goes directly to your registered bank account the next business day (T+1).
What is the platform fee?+
Platform fees apply only to viewer payments (giving, PPV) — NOT to your subscription. Free: 0%, Starter: 5%, Pro: 3%, Business: 2%, Enterprise: 1%. You keep the rest, settled automatically by Paystack.
How do I register my bank account?+
Go to Revenue & Payouts in your dashboard. Select your bank, enter your 10-digit account number (we verify it with Paystack in real time), add your business name, and click Register. Paystack creates a subaccount and all future viewer payments settle to your bank T+1.
What is Church OS?+
Church OS is a suite of ministry tools available on Pro and above: AI Bible verse overlay with 6 translation versions (KJV, NIV, NLT, AMP, Yoruba, Igbo), live giving panel, prayer request wall, service schedule, and sermon notes — all visible to your viewers in real time.
What happens if I exceed my viewer limit?+
New viewers who try to join when you've hit your plan's limit are rejected with a polite message. Your existing viewers are NOT affected — the stream continues normally for everyone already watching.
How do PPV ticket sales work?+
On Pro and above, set a ticket price when creating a stream. Viewers pay via Paystack before they can watch. Payments are split to your subaccount automatically. Available on the stream viewer page.
Can I use OBS or other streaming software?+
Yes — ExtraLive works with any RTMP encoder: OBS Studio, Wirecast, vMix, StreamYard, ffmpeg, or any hardware encoder. Use our RTMP server URL and your stream key from your settings.
