Quick Start Guide

Get streaming in under 5 minutes:

Create your account

Visit myextra.live/signup.html and choose your plan. A Mux stream key is created instantly — no waiting.

Copy your stream key

Go to Settings → Stream Credentials or Studio → Encoder Settings. Copy your stream key and RTMP server URL.

Configure OBS

In OBS: Settings → Stream → Service: Custom. Server: rtmps://global-live.mux.com:443/app. Stream Key: paste your key.

Click Go Live

In your ExtraLive Studio, set your stream title, visibility and giving settings, then click ▶ Go Live. Your stream starts within seconds.

Share your stream

Your stream is live at myextra.live/stream.html?id=YOUR_PLAYBACK_ID. Share the link anywhere.

Streaming Setup

OBS Configuration

In OBS Studio: Settings → Stream

        Service: Custom RTMP

        Server: rtmps://global-live.mux.com:443/app

        Stream Key: [Your stream key from Settings]

        Recommended bitrate: 4000–8000 kbps

        Keyframe interval: 2 seconds

Giving & Payouts

To receive viewer payments:

1. Go to Revenue & Payouts in your dashboard.
2. Select your bank, enter your 10-digit account number. We verify it live with Paystack.
3. Submit. Paystack creates a subaccount linked to your account.
4. Enable giving on your next stream. Viewer payments split automatically — your share hits your bank T+1.

Platform fees: Starter 5%, Pro 3%, Business 2%, Enterprise 1%. No additional charges.

Church OS

Available on Pro and above. Access Church OS tools from the Church Admin dashboard.

Bible Verse Overlay: Displays a customisable scripture over your live stream. Choose from KJV, NIV, NLT, AMP, Yoruba, or Igbo translations. Viewers see it on their player.

Prayer Wall: Viewers submit prayer requests from the stream page. You see them in real time in the Church Admin dashboard.

Sermon Notes: Publish notes visible to viewers in the stream sidebar's "Sermon Notes" tab.

API Reference

All endpoints are at https://myextra.live/api/. Authenticate with a session cookie from POST /auth/login.php.

POST/auth/register.php

Create a new account. Body: {name, email, password, phone, account_type, plan}

POST/auth/login.php

Authenticate user. Body: {email, password}. Returns session cookie.

GET/auth/me.php

Get current authenticated user details.

POST/stream/manage.php

Stream management. Body: {action: "golive"|"end"|"status"|"list"|"credentials"}

POST/stream/viewer_gate.php

Viewer token management. Body: {action: "issue_token"|"heartbeat"|"release_token", stream_id, token}

POST/payment/subscribe.php

Subscription plans and payment verification. Body: {action: "plans"|"verify"}
